Testers | 20 December 2011 | par : audrey

We tried to climb the Huayna Postosi in Bolivia next to La Paz at 6088m.

It was snowing up there and you needed crampons.

I therefore didn’t go up there with the Novadry boots, but at least up to the refuge at 5133m….

To get there, my Novadry boots resisted well in the powdery snow. They are completely watertight.
Whilst everybody else had wet feet and were stressed out because they couldn’t dry out their stocks in the hut at 0°C…. my feet were completely dry… they were very envious!!!!

First week of voyage: Peru
I tested these shoes on a Sunday afternoon in Lille and I got
a little blister around Achilles heel of my right foot.
wanting avoid blisters since Lima, I walk with these shoes
+ a little anti-blister tape, from Aptonia, on my heels
I prefer prevention :)

Marie Moreira, one of our team assistants, has climbed Mont Blanc.

She set off without any fuss as if she was going to the seaside for a weekend… clutching a Novadry jacket.

She came back on Tuesday morning on cloud nine and with a slightly red nose, saying with a euphoric smile “Yes! I did it! I climbed Mont Blanc!“.

She shared her feelings with us, and we were proud of her. She showed us a few photographs which we were all very interested in.

You could say that we all had a little part in helping her succeed in this challenge.

Testers | 26 July 2010 | par : remy

Trek Magazine has published a comparative study of hiking boots with high and low uppers. 50 pairs were tried out by 8 testers on walks in the Luberon region. Mud, stones and slippery leaves on the ground provided conditions that were ideal for comparing the shoes.
Each shoe was tested for its waterproof qualities. This consisted of immersing the shoe in water above toe level for more than a minute. So the laces and the eyelets had to stand up to the onslaught of the flowing river.
Which, out of all of the products being tested, came out with head held high and its feet dry?

Without revealing all the results of the test, we note that Novadry which sell, amongst others, the Forclaz 800 andArpenaz 500 achieved a very good score:
- Waterproof test Forclaz 800: 4/5            Arpenaz 500:  4.5/5
- Comfort test Forclaz 800: 4,5/5            Arpenaz 500:  4.5/5
- Comfort test Forclaz 800: 4,5/5            Arpenaz 500:  3.5/5

With also the lowest prices in their respective categories, Novadry is proud of its representatives.

While looking forward once more to taking on our competitor Gore-tex, we await impatiently the next independent results which help us, along with our internal tests, to always offer technological solutions that are the most suitable for your needs.
