This summer, choose light protection

Product news | 9 July 2010 | par : Vincent
For protection from sudden summer showers without filling up your backpack, choose a Raincut (200g for size L). The fruit of a partnership between Quechua and Novadry, for protection from wind and rain.
The Novadry coating ensures you stay dry, for up to 2 hours in heavy rain (100 litres of water per square metre per hour)!
And what’s the use in keeping out the rain if you’re soaked inside your coat? The Raincut fabric allows water vapour your body produces to evacuate (RET=12) to reduce discomfort from perspiration.
Feeling a bit swamped? With a snip of scissors you can adjust the sleeve and hem length. Useful!

Lining is your softest protection

You may have noticed in some waterproof garments, there is a light, perforated fabric lining (or mesh).
This is more than just an accessory; the lining plays several roles :
- It prevents wear of the membrane or coating. As you move, the friction from your skin can, over time, alter the efficacy of these components.
- It helps absorb moisture generated by your body.
- It prevents the unpleasant “sticky” feeling that you can have on your arms when wearing a jacket over a short-sleeved top.
Your rain jacket is perfect for warm, thundery weather, and you’ll forget you’re wearing it.
If you’re still not convinced, check out the CR100+!
